Unneeded External Javascript References ?

  • Yesterday I installed – and then uninstalled two different social sharing button plugins.

After deactivating and deleting, I can see that my site is still calling some external js and png files that must have been added by one or the other plugins.

I know that the references were not there previously because I was testing the site with Yslow before and after installing to check the impact on site’s response with the plugins installed.

I am not a programmer, so I am stumped as to how to remove the calls to these unnecessary external references…

Also stumped as to how they could remain if the plugin(s) that created were removed.

    Thank you
