Unnecessary type js attribute for validation?

If you look at your source code you will see that there are many instances of type=”text/javascript” basically because WordPress core outputs such attributes:

The code of this plugin also includes this in some lines:

If you need to reduce this, you may edit those files on your WordPress instance but after a plugin update they will get back. Anyway, most of the type=”text/javascript” could be removed if you patch the WordPress core

First of all I definitely do not advise you to patch the core.

You might want to edit your header.php in your theme directory and use ob_start() and connected functions to get the output of the wp_head() function and then do a regexp replace to remove the type=text/javascript attributes.
