Support » Plugin: Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Page Builder Toolkit » Unnecessary Page Revisions due to internal UIds

    <!-- wp:kadence/rowlayout {"uniqueID":"_52536b-56"

    <!-- wp:kadence/rowlayout {"uniqueID":"_b9dedb-05"

This difference in “unique IDs” is generated for the same rowlayout block when merely opening a page using your kadance rowlayout block. This generates unnecessary revisions without actually changing anything about the page.

Otherwise, very nice Block Plugin. Helped me get around some headaches regarding Gutenberg’s own column implementation. Thumbs up!

    Hey,
    I appreciated the feedback,
It’s a known ‘issue’ or side effect. It’s currently refreshing the ID based on how Gutenberg keeps track of the “block client id”. The trouble with making it static creates issues when you duplicate rows or other variables within Gutenberg.

I’ve been brainstorming a better option.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate that this is something being worked on / thought about and understand the issue actually lies between the Gutenberg framework and your software. Having this minor issue with the revisions is preferable to a compromise in the functionality. Maybe a future Gutenberg update will let you fix this properly or you can find a workaround in the meantime. Anyways, have a good one,

    Jay

    Hey,
Just want to report that this has been solved/resolved with version 1.2.8

After your posts, I was thinking about it and the fix was, of course, simple and something I hadn’t thought of 🙂

    Thanks for posting.

    Ben
