Unnecessary

As a plug-in, it’s fine, but this is more a comment on the new editor itself.

For folks who use the existing visual editor, this may have some advantages, I just don’t know. But for those of us who want to just crack on and get some text in, it’s an unnecessary complication. I liked the pop-up calendar for scheduling, as (at last) we don’t have the stupid US month-day-year format imposed on us, but at the same time the clock seems to have changed to AM/PM, so if you put in “18” by accident, assuming a 24-hour clock, it changes it to “2” (why?) but doesn’t highlight the fact. Meanwhile, on the “All Posts” listing, if you want to use “Quick Edit”, we’re still on the 24-hour clock.

And the “Preview” function takes forever to generate the preview; what’s happened?
