You can unlink the social accounts (except the primary one that you used to create account at your website via social login) from Social Account Linking section at profile page.

Hello. I was also looking for the ability to unlink a social account, including the primary account. There are 2 use cases where this seems important to include the option to unlink even the primary:

    1. A user connects a Google account using this plugin and later decides to switch to a different Google account. Currently this isn’t possible if the Google account is the primary social account (or only) tied to the user profile.

    2. A user decides they no longer want their social accounts linked to the site. Currently they can remove all except their primary; but since their primary social account is still linked it may conflict with rules of some social platform policy if they say users should be allowed to remove their data (which I would suspect includes login capable data)

Is it possible to include the option to unlink any account (including primary) in an upcoming release?

    Thank you

    That’s great, thank you!

***Please Please Pretty Please Create Social Account Unlink!***

Hello and thanks for an absolutely incredible Social Plugin!

I have however, spent two whole days trying to find out how to get my membership site working properly and the problem is that once you have linked a social account, in this case Facebook, it is impossible to get rid of it! Even when you create a completely new WordPress User account manually and try to create a new social link to a different Facebook account, it automatically reverts to the original FB linking. I also wonder if somehow the original linking persists on a computer so that no matter what new accounts you create the original linking gets pulled up.

This has made Super Socializer, an otherwise excellent Plugin, completely unusable for Social logins when combined with any other package such as eMember.

I’m still testing the other functions of Super Socializer and want to congratulate you once again for your work on this plugin.

    Cheers

Thanks for the appreciation. We will include this in plugin soon. There were more important things at priority for the releases we have made till now.

You might be mistaken. You can definitely link a DIFFERENT Facebook account (that you have not linked to any user account at your website) to a user account.

    Hello,

Is there any update on being able to unlink the primary social account so that the user can disconnect all social accounts from their site account?

    Thank you
