Support » Plugin: Restaurant Menu by MotoPress » Unlink items and show subcategory

  • Resolved introw

    Hi, I have two questions,
how can I unlink items, when I click on the restaurant menu categories widget (view grid) on main site and it´s showing menu items with link on the describes of items. I just don´t want to link this items.

Next question is, how can I show subcategories. I have main category for example drinks and under this category belongs soft drinks, coffe, beer… When I want to show separately subcategories like beer, soft drinks there is no problem, but if I want to show main category drinks where would be all items belongs to the drinks and separated to the subcategories with names, there is problem. It is show nothing. I tried give to the items main category drinks and subcategory for example soft drinks. If I used only main category drinks, it was showing items but not separated and there was not name of subcategory. I want to click on main category drinks in the widget restaurant menu categories and there will show all names of subcategories with items separated. How to do that? Thank you and sorry for my english.

    1. There is no way to unlink the items category page layout (the default one which was not added by shortcode). I’ve added your suggestion to feature request list.
You can unlink the menu items only by adding grid via shortcode.

    2. We will also keep this in mind. Thank you for your feedback.

    3. You can simply redirect its link to the page you need with special redirect plugin. We’ll keep this in mind. Thank you.

We have just released an updated where subcategories are visible now. You can find them below the Parent category on website preview. Thank you.
