Unlink for Selected Category

Hi,

This is a very small issue, may be someone who is good with CSS or XHTML can help me fix?

I have sidebar on the right side, when a use selects a category, I want the link of that category to be removed (when accessing the particular category).

This even applies to the post. For example, I am surfing an article at “General” section, I want other category links to be shown on sidebar, but the present category to be unlinked (I would also apply some effect to make users know that they are on present category).

If the user is reading any post from the same category, I want the same thing to happy, unless he moves to different category or different post in different category.

I really need to fix this in my site, so if someone has a simple code that could help me do this I would be really happy. Let me know which part of the template do I need to edit.
