• Recently I checked my site’s blog (http://www.malinga.me/blog/) in different browser and saw that there is a unknown link in the top right hand side near social icons. This doesn’t show in the browser where i used to log in the site.

Link says : “clomid vs injectables”

Recently I got to know that my sites non www version (i.e: http://malinga.me/) goes to a white page only contain that link. I checked the theme code and my htaccess file. I couldn’t find any issues

    Any help will be great!

    Thanks.

Remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the help.
I went though the link. I did several scans and non of them were positive. So this might not be a attack. Is there a way to identify where that code (link) is added.

    Thanks

The guide covers all know vectors for such an attack, and if a link advertising something appeared in your theme without your involvement, I’d call that a hack, wouldn’t you? 😉

However, I don’t see the link you’re referring to anywhere.

Try clearing your browser’s cache. If you still see it, clear your browser’s cache, deactivate all of your browser’s add-ons or extensions, and reload the page. If the link is gone, re-activate each add-on or extension one by one until you find the one causing the problem.

I don’t know how, but when i activated the Akismet plugin (for some reason it was not active) and cleared the w3 total cache, the link is gone. May be this has nothing to do with what i have done. Will check for another couple of days and will mark as resolved

    Thanks for the help.
