I just connected site kit to my website I find this error- Unknown Error (code: invalid ‘client_id’ or ‘client_secret’). To fix this, redo the plugin setup.

Also when I just activated my sitekit, I got this error- google_api_connection_fail

I’ve filled my site info details in the Google form for further check. Please help me resolve this.

Hello and thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to look into this for you.

Thanks for providing your Site Health Information. Please can you provide the following information:

    1. That you are no longer receiving the ‘Unknown Error (code: invalid ‘client_id’ or ‘client_secret’)’ message?
    2. At what stage are you getting the ‘google_api_connection_fail’ message i.e. (during setup or after) and are you still able to access the Site Kite dashboard or is it unavailable?

    Thanks.

    1. I’m still getting this error: “Unknown Error (code: invalid ‘client_id’ or ‘client_secret’). To fix this, redo the plugin setup.

    2. I got the error as soon as I activated the plugin. On the dashboard. Now I access the dashboard but these are errors on the dashboard:

    Data error in Analytics

    invalid ‘client_id’ or ‘client_secret’

    `Data error in Search Console

Thank you for providing feedback. Would you be able to reset your Site Kit by going to Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings and clicking on ‘Reset Site Kit’. See here.

If you are unable to access the settings section from the Site Kit plugin you can also do this by going to Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit. See here.

I can see that there is only 1 connected user to Site Kit currently so this won’t affect any other users on your site.

Please let me know if you are still seeing the same from the Site Kit Dashboard once you have performed the reset.

    Thanks.
