# Unknown error

 * I am using version 2.0.10 of Locotranslate on a client’s site. When translating
   a plugin, I’ll click Save. The Save will process for a long time and then I get
   an Unknown Error message.

 * I went through and deactivated plugins. When I left one (Testimonial Rotator)
   disabled, the error changed. Now I get ‘Error: Not Found’ when I try to save.
 * I used the Developer tools, and it keeps displaying ‘../wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
   404 (Not Found)’ Although the file is there. I am still trying the other debugging
   options but wanted to give my results so far.

 * I have heard of people having problems accessing the admin-ajax.php file. A quick
   Google search will turn up various posts saying their security software is blocking
   it, etc.. [Here’s one of many](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/admin-ajaxphp-404-not-found/).
 * All I can tell you is my plugin doesn’t control access to this file. It’s a part
   of WordPress that Loco hooks into. If it’s somehow inaccessible then no ajax 
   processes will work in your admin area.
