# Unknown Database Tables

 * I’ve done a lot of troubleshooting to speed up my site lately. While optimizing
   and repairing database tables using the “WP-DBManager” I found a number of tables
   which I don’t think I need any more:
 * wp_QuoteRotator
    wp_quotescollection wp_flickr_post wp_thesis_backups wp_wassup
   wp_wassup_tmp
 * I’ve been running this install since 2008. I dabbled in thesis, but uninstalled
   it. (I use Woo Canvas now) I tried a quote rotator but uninstalled it. I don’t
   ever remember using a flicker plugin. I see Wassup is a real-time stats plugin,
   but I don’t remember ever using it.
 * None of the associated plugins are installed or even loaded.
 * I’m nervous messing around with the database. Do you think it’s safe to drop 
   these tables?

 * These are not core tables and the names seem to indicate where they were used,
   so it should be safe to drop them.
 * Take a backup of the database first.

 * I backed up and dropped those tables (wassup was huge). I’ve tested the site 
   and there’s no ill effects.
