# Unique Identifier Help

 * Hi, I’ve been having a lot of difficulty with the unique identifier. I’ve spend
   numerous hours testing every different option that is available but I have not
   been able to get it to work.
 * I’m importing the fields SKU, TITLE, CONTENT and my unique identifier is the 
   SKU (which doesn’t change). I want to be able to change the CONTENT without importing
   it as a new product and it’s just not working.

 * You want to make an import that creates New Items, and then for the Unique Identifier
   choose a combination of fields to create a string that is unique to each product.
 * When you want to update the content, you would modify the import file and upload
   it to the **import that created the products**. We have a bit more detail on
