# unique Fields

 * Please how can I make the values in a field unique so that if someone input the
   same value in that field the system should be able to flag it and say that value
   already exists

 * The only way to do this (without custom code) is to use the setting under the“
   Signup Form” tab that sets up the duplicate record check. If you have that set
   to show an error if another record tries to save the same value in the check 
   field, it will not allow it.
 * This doesn’t work on the backend unless the “Admin Record Edits are Validated”
   setting is checked…this is under the “Admin Settings” tab.
