# Uninstall Error

 * Thought I had latest PHP update but didn’t. Didn’t realize this till after I 
   installed plugin. Went to uninstall by clicking “yes, delete these files and 
   data” I get this error:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/spin/public_html/mebafirst.
   com/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/uninstall.php on line 15
 * And of course it was never installed as my host PHP isn’t updated.
    Anybody tell
   me how to uninstall this?

 * Hi there –
 * In this case, you need to go into either the FTP or files manager on your cPanel
   and go under the wp-content/plugins/ directory, then delete the “backupwordpress”
   directory completely.
 * From there, you can then reinstall the newest version and you should be in okay
   shape.
 * I’m sorry you ran into this one, but they will have this corrected soon in an
   upcoming release.
