Unified Commenting System that Allows Facebook Connection

  • Hi All,

    Would like to be able to have my blog display comments in ONE list — but want people to have the alternative to log in using Facebook instead of their email address if they should so choose.

    Facebook Comments for WordPress (the plugin) so far just lets me use Facebook comments with the # of regular WP comments below it.

    I am running a self-hosted blog so I can modify it if needs be, just wanted to hear your thoughts on accomplishing this and if you have any examples please share I’d love to see your site.

  • Hav you checked out Simple Facebook Connect?

    @knut
    Thank you! Yes, I have used this plugin in the past and am playing with it now. I know that it has a Fb login plugin and a Fb commenting plugin. In this case, I would be using the Login as I believe as I want all the comments to live in the same list. Unfortunately I can’t really figure out how to make this seamless in the way I want — really, to have a login button appear o nthe post page in the comments section that someone can click on to log in, and then have everything automated from there.

    I am working on it, if you think this is not possible to be accomplished plz let me know…the only thing I really have to loose on this is wasted time for the time being 🙂
