Unhelpful instructions (8 posts)

I need an image to just appear when the site loads, have it fade out, and then go to the blog.

I assumed this plugin would do this. I am sure this is a FAQ, but I can't find it amongst the FAQs.

Please can someone tell me here what this means:

"You can display the WSI after the page without any modification. If you want to display the WSI before the page, you must enable the "First load mode" option and add the code <?php do_action('wsi_first_load_mode'); ?> after the <body> tag of your current theme, (BlackBird v1.1.3)."

That's all very well. Unfortunately, I am not sure which <body> tag is being referred to here, or which php/html file I must edit. There are thousands inside my website; which should I be looking at?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have the same question. The name of the exact file to be customized should be mentioned and a screenshot of the insertion area would be very helpful.

Also, is it possible to adjust the image fade out speed after the image on splash page is clicked? A nice transition to transparency, revealing the home page, would integrate it nicely into the website.

Ditto - I am SO frustrated. I just need something to simply show a jpg from the media library on entrance to the site.

What I get is a giant gray box. There is little to no instruction on how to use this - can someone please help? Or point us to some thing that works???

On the very top of the plugin page there are four icons. The one to the right is a reset icon.

I was having the gray box issue too. I reset the page, which set it to a preloaded configuration. I previewed that and it worked, so I just personalized it from there.

    Now it works beautifully.

has anyone fixed this issue? i have the black bird theme and really don't know where i'm supposed to place this line of code <?php do_action('wsi_first_load_mode'); ?> to make this work i've searched every single .php file and all i found was <body <?php body_class(); ?> style="<? in the header.php that had the body tag associated. all i want to do is have a small flyer in fron of my home page pop up when visitors visit my site, which is latinotax.us

@den_d: As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Added to which, your problem - despite any similarity in symptoms - is likely to be completely different.
