unfound database

  • I uploaded everything and created a database. However, I keep getting this:
    ———————–
We’re having a little trouble selecting the proper database for WordPress.
    Are you sure it exists?
Your database name is currently specified as tacogirl_wordpress. Is this correct?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
    ———————–
That isn’t the problem because when I created the database, I noticed that it did this. Also, you can see the username is in the name I specified. Could someone help me please? I’ve been bouncing around from text editor to text editor (movable type and blogger) and I really just want to post now.

  • You probably have to assign a user to the database through CPanel (or your web, not wordpress, admin page). Can’t help you step by step as I’m prohibited from accessing my own CPanel.(behind firewall)

Shena – what cpanel do you use ? Cpanel X / Ensim / another ?
