    Hi,

For the past 2 days I’ve run into this error when I am trying to purchase a shipping label through Woocommerce.

    Quick Breakdown:
    1. Customer places an order on my website.
    2. I get the order, go to the order’s page in “Woocommerce>Orders”
    3. I click the button that says “Create Shipping Label”
    4. Origin Address is good, Destination address is good, Packaging is good.
    5. When I click “Use these packages” and it moves to the 4th step “Shipping Rates” an error pops up that says “Unexpected Server Error.”

There’s a button that says “Retry” next to the error, but if I click it, nothing happens. If I click it a bunch of times, it just keeps loading the error over and over again.

I’ve disabled Jetpack, uninstalled jetpack, reinstalled jetpack, reenabled jetpack and still the error persists.

I’ve gone into troubleshooting with my site, disabling every plugin, going to a default theme, then enabling the woocommerce plugin + woocommerce services + jetpack and tried to complete the purchase and print a shipping label and still the error pops up.

Just a few days ago everything was working fine. I have no idea what caused this issue. All of my plugins are up to date and everything is working properly.

Customers are still able to place orders, but I can’t print out USPS labels to ship their packages so this is very frustrating.

    Please help!

    Hey @mbtbeauty,

Thanks for providing such a detailed breakdown of the issue and troubleshooting you’ve tried thus far. 🙂

Can you go to the WooCommerce > Status > WooCommerce Services page on the site and see if there are any indications of what is happening there? Additionally, I would suggest enabling logging on that page as well and the attempting to purchase a label again to see if the logs can provide any insight.

For reference, this section of the docs covers the options mentioned above:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-12

If this doesn’t help, let me know what the site URL is, so I can take a look at the server connection on our end.

If you don’t want to provide site-specific info here, feel free to log into WooCommerce.com and create at ticket. Please include a link or reference the ticket number on this forum thread, so that we can quickly find that ticket and keep track of what’s already been done.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Hi, I’m having the same issue for one of my clients websites now. I’ve enabled logging but I don’t see anything useful there when I try to create the shipping label again. Any ideas what this could be from?

I am having the same problem. We have been using Woocommerce for our webstore for months without problems. Just a few days ago, we have been unable to print shipping labels. “Unexpected server error” pops up. I’ve done all the “fixes” suggested online including reinstalling Jetpack. Still no resolution. Any suggestions? Also, we coincidentally added a firewall to our website through GoDaddy. I called GoDaddy and they said that the firewall shouldn’t impact processing shipping labels. I’ve also tried processing/printing shipping labels from orders on both Chrome and Safari. No correction. Please help!
