    Hi,

    I used the plugin to increase the max upload size to 256MB. So now I can select a bigger file as intended, however, I get the following error during the upload:

    Unexpected response from the server. The file may have been uploaded successfully. Check in the Media Library or reload the page.

    The file isn’t in the media library unfortunately – the upload seems to have failed.

    What could be the issue?

    I’m getting the same problem. My host (1&1 / Ionos) has set the limit to 256MB, and I’ve used WPMUFS to set the WordPress limit to 128MB. The WPMUFS settings page confirms that the host max is 256MB and the WordPress max is 128MB.

    When I load a file of 107MB, I get the same “Unexpected response from the server. The file ma have been uploaded successfully. Check in the Media Library or reload the page.”

    The file appears to upload (progress bar completes), but it is never there in the Media Library.
