@sharonejackson – Did you insert the gallery via the IGW (“green button”)? If yes, then check what setting is being used in the Customizations panel.

Also, a link to the page/post where this is happening may also be useful.

    Thanks!

Duh, yes, I should have done that. I resolved this by creating a new gallery, naming it something different and adding it to the page instead.

The problem occurred when I realized I had added the same image twice, so I deleted the second one. When I looked at the source code, it had somehow thrown it <br float:clear;> (or something like that.

Anyway it is now resolved. Thank you very much!

@sharonejackson – Thanks for the update letting us know how you sorted this out.

I have a similar problem, I think. I have tried setting the number of images to display to other numbers, but it automatically puts up 20 images in two rows of 8 and one row of 4 on each page.

No matter what settings I change in the gallery, it makes no difference to the display. It’s not losing images, it just looks rubbish.

I think I read in the settings if you set the number 20 to “0” it will allow as many as you want.

p.s. It does not look like rubbish. I thought you did it that way on purpose.

It just doesn’t look how I would like, so I guess my reaction was that it was rubbish. I just feel like it looks as though there are only that many pictures, and people might miss the other pages as a result.

Thanks, I will give that a try.

Doesn’t seem to make any difference.

So you did set the page to 24 originally?

The page was set to 20 by default. I didn’t build the page, I am just the owner of the page.

OK, then have you tried going to (Left Sidebar) Gallery/ NextGEN Basic Thumbnails

Images per page set to 24

Yes, I have tried changing the setting and it makes no difference.

I am beginning to think it is a plugin conflict.

I had one with FV Antispam. My submit button disappeared. What I did was to deactivate all the plugins except for Next Gen, and begin to add them back one at a time, log out, log in. If the submit button was there, ok.

Finally got to FV Antispam and there was the culprit. They are investigating the problem now.

So try that, but have you tried changing the number of columns to 6 so that you would have four rows of 6 rather than three rows of 8. You could make the thumbnails bigger if it worked.

@gardendoctor – It may be best to start your own topic on this … but, when you were looking into this and attempting to change the number of columns are you opening up the already inserted display (click on the preview image) and changing the values under the Customization panel?

    – Cais.

I have not changed the column settings, which are set to 0. I have tried using the Gallery Settings>NextGEN Basic Thumbnails settings, and changing the images per page setting.

@gardendoctor – Please start your own topic for your issue. It will be much better in general to help you try to resolve this.

    Thanks!
