Undoing Footer Suppression or Swap in Craft
-
Hi,
I’m working this website, http://thewileygroup.com, in which I have a consistent footer throughout all pages, except one, the contacts page.
I did not design this site, although I’ve taken over making some tweaks. My client wants me to restore the default footer to this page and it seems like it would be a simple task. We are using Craft as the theme. I’ve been in and out of the footer template and the Full Width template which calls all the layout functions. However, I can’t seem to find the place where the footer can be switched over. This is driving me nuts because it should something very simple. There is nothing in the Edit Page settings, the Theme or templates that indicate how the footer is defined for any specific page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
B-liter.

Where did you get that theme from?
Edit: Before you can receive support, you need first identify your theme on WordPress’ theme repository.
I didn’t build the site. Craft was already there when I took this job on. You’d think this would be a simple fix, right?
I used a nuclear option. I copied the body html to the page, deleted the old page and created a new one with the same heading and pasted in the body html from the previous page.
The default footer showed. However, the permalink url is off. The original one said http://thewileygroup.com/contact/
The new one reads: http;//thewileygroup.com/contact-4/
so now I’m wondering how to get it back to just http://……/contact/
That may be the subject of another thread.
As you appear to be using a commercial or custom theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers: http://themetrust.com//
I found a way around it and learned about permanently deleting pages and how it frees up permalink urls. For now it works.
