# understanding plugins

 * im not sure im understanding plugins, i upload them to my plugins directory, 
   then activate them, but they never show up and i cant figure out after activating
   them how to get them to work on my page.
 * any help in better understanding would be great!

 * Most plugins require “calling” using a particular php line. This is usually specified
   in the readme for the plugin, or on the plugin author’s site (from which you 
   downloaded the plugin).
 * There’s no “one-size-fits-all” fix. You just have to read the documentation and
   implement the instructions.
