    Hi,

I am new to multisites and apologize if this is too much of a newbie question buy I am having a hard time figuring this out.

I have subdomains setup on my multisite network so:
    site1.domain.com
    site2.domain.com
    site3.domain.com etc…

From the network admin menu I uploaded a theme and created a child theme. I “Network enabled” the child theme.
I thought this was supposed to make it available on all sites, that is not the case.
So how do I get the modified child theme to be not only available but also the active theme for all sites. I would think I could just update the child via the network admin and that would display it properly on all subdomains, right?

Needing some direction in order to set this up properly.

    Thank you very much
    Julien

When you network enable a theme, that makes the theme available for all sites. The admins for the sites still have to go to themes to activate that particular theme. If you want all sites to use that theme once network enabled, its possible to do with plugins but I dont know of any.

Thank you that is helpful. Now if I make a change to the child theme via the network admin, that change will show up on all sites right? Or are they all their own separate child themes?

Yes. And if the site(s) are actively using that child theme. When you update the child theme, it will affect all the sites immediately.
