# Under “Edit Role”, the difference between…

 * “Can access wp-admin?”
 * and
 * “Force hiding adminbar in frontend?”
 * When “Can access wp-admin?” is checked, Contributors are not able to see the 
   adminbar. I have to uncheck “Force hiding adminbar in frontend?” for them to 
   be able to post. So why does “Can access wp-admin?” not access the adminbar? 
   What’s the difference between these two?

 * Please check that your Contributors users have only one user role – Contributors.
   
   This issue can be also caused by the conflict with your theme or other plugins
   e.g. some security plugins. Please try to do a conflict test and see if this 
   issue goes away. Here is the [doc on how to do a conflict test](http://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/96-how-to-do-a-plugin-theme-conflict-test)
   if you are not sure how to do it.
