# Under attack?

 * We have been getting a lot of Wordfence notifications about a ton of files being
   modified and could use some help,. The same time this happened we’ve got notifications
   from Bluehost because all our memory is being used up (could be coincidence).
   Recently we did put W3 Total Cache on the site too which could be part of the
   problem. However, we have other sites with very similar setups with Wordfence
   and W3 Total Cache and they’ve been running fine. Most of the files being modified
   look something like:
    January 5, 2016 3:36am …/cache/object/000000/442/74a/44274a1dfc119445373219f4c7f34c5b.
   php
 * Also just updated to WordPress version 4.4.1 yesterday (1/6/16). I will probably
   be doing a restore from a backup before all this started.
 * Any help will be greatly appreciated!

 * If you’re seeing files being changed and you’re not doing it, then something 
   else is. Make sure your themes and plugins are up-to-date. Remove any unused 
   themes and plugins as well.
