• Hi there,

I love the Alfi weather plugin and am just installing it for a client of mine. Actually I am still working locally and can not give a link to an online website yet.

A former installation worked fine but unfortunately for unknown reasons Alfi does not work at all. No location/city can be selected for the widget and no forecast comes up on the website.

I have tried installations on two different computers with different php/xampp versions.

    It gives an error saying:
Notice: Undefined variable: post in D:\xampp\htdocs\xxxwebsitexxx\wp-content\plugins\alfie-wp-weather\alfie-wp-weather.php on line 156

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in D:\xampp\htdocs\xxxwebsitexxx\wp-content\plugins\alfie-wp-weather\alfie-wp-weather.php on line 156

    I am using wordpress-4.0-de_DE with alfie-wp-weather.1.2.13.

Have re-installed WP several times, as well have tried wordpress-3.9.1-de_DE and Alfi alfie-wp-weather.1.2.12 but the problem is still the same.

Have you heard of this problem before, am I doing anything wrong, do you have any ideas what I could doto solve the issue?

Thanks a lot for your help!
    Katrina

    Hello again,

just to let you all know that I have managed to include the Alfi plugin into the text of the pages using to short code [alfie_wp_weather woeid=”…” etc].

That works fine but unfortunately the plugin used as widget in the sidebar is still giving me problems.

Please keep me updated regarding this issue.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Katrina

    Same problem here.

The last version worked fine up til WP 3.9.3.
After upgrading i get the same “Undefined variable: post in \alfie-wp-weather.php on line 156” error if used as a widget.
