  • The issue appears to be that whatever settings you have at the time a page is saved becomes the way the buttons are displayed. So if I have all of the buttons enabled, it saves those settings into the page. If I then change the available buttons to only be facebook and twitter, and resave the page then the information is updated for that page only and not globally. I’d prefer a global change myself.

It pretty much puts a kink in the whole system when you can’t control the buttons globally. In other words, all of these plugins don’t have enough value for me with this one problem. If WhatsApp becomes irrelevant, and I remove it from settings, I then have to go through every page and post and resave them to remove the WhatsApp button.

Maybe you could make the settings page apply globally and then have an override in the page or post itself so someone can add a button they want or remove those they don’t want just for that post or page.

The buttons are added dynamically to the content and WPSSO does not cache the content. It sounds like you may be using a caching plugin or service that needs to be refreshed.
