unclear if Events Manager Pro gateway for Stripe is using SSL

Hi, I installed this plugin and everything seems to work well, but I’m unclear as to whether the gateway is using the site’s SSL cert to keep data safe. The underlying page is not https so I don’t see any way of knowing if it’s sending via a secure connection or just regular http. Just as importantly, I don’t see any way the *customer* can know if it’s secure or not, so if it is, I wonder how security/privacy-minded users will know they’re protected. And if they’re *not* protected, how can I make this happen?
