[resolved] Unchecking checkbox reloads checked after update (3 posts)

    WP-Members version: 2.8.1

Got a weird situation. I have added a custom field with a checkbox. The value for checked is equal to 1.

However when I uncheck the box and update my profile, it reloads and shows up as 'checked' again.

I first thought it was related to something I did to whatever code, but after unchecking the 'show toolbar' (standard from wp) and it not showing up checked after update, I reckoned it was a problem with the custom field coding.

Is this a known problem or is there a way to solve this?

    Thanks you in advance.

Yes, this is an known issue. It came in 2.8.0 and was reported following the 2.8.1 release. It is corrected in the 2.8.2 release which is presently available as a beta release. You can try that out, but keep in mind it is still a beta release so you shouldn't just blindly load it on a production site - test it in a staging environment first.

I'll wait for the release of 2.8.2.

We haven't released the new design using WP (we changed CMS) yet, so a couple of days more or less won't matter that much.

Thanks for getting back on this.
