    Hi Frank,

First, I want to thank you for this plug-in and your help! The combined effects of this plug-in and a few others enabled us to hit 100% for Page Speed on GT Metrix Today and 97% for YSlow, so YAY!

Unfortunately, things are not quite as good on Google Lightspeed, but it’s a work in progress.

On that note, I’m getting an Uncaught Syntax Error on the homepage.

I asked Thrive Themes Support to investigate and they indicate that it has something to do with the way things are being cached. However, it only appears to be affecting this page and the line affected (you’ll see it in the console drawer) is definitely tied to Thrive Themes and appears to be missing a } sign.

In addition, there are several lines of “violations” popping up on various pages. I read on another thread that it’s not necessarily due to Autoptimize, but rather that AO shows as the source because it’s optimizing the script…

But I’m also not sure how to track it down and fix it, so I thought I’d ask if you can point me in the right direction? 😉

Does this also happen when you disable HTML optimization?

“Does this also happen when you disable HTML optimization?”

That did the trick, but only momentarily, and then it came back?

    URL
    Description
    https://niceice.com
SyntaxError: missing ) after argument list

    Plus the Violation warnings…

In that case I’m not 100% this is an Autoptimize issue to be honest Todd, the “momentarily” makes not sensen in an AO context, so maybe another component (plugin) that is also in the mix?

    Hi Frank,

It has something to do with the post list on the front page and goes away if I remove it.

My best guess is that there is something wrong with the code from Thrive.

Thanks for helping me narrow it down.

    All the best,

Based on what I see *something” is changing & # 039; (without the spaces) into ' in inline JS and that seems to be the *thing* that is breaking the thrive JS ..

Anyway I’ll close this as “resolved” (as I’m 99,99% sure this is not AO’s doing) but feel free to follow up if you discover more!

Thanks, Frank. That actually helps a LOT (and I’m being serious because that DOES ring a bell).
