Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » “Uncategorized” added in Meta—how?

  • Resolved JD

    There are several Pages on my site which have the following code (in source code):

    <meta property="article:section" content="Uncategorized" />

    That code is contained inside this block of code:

    <!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v9.1 - -->
    <!-- Admin only notice: this page does not show a meta description because it does not have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the [SEO - Search Appearance] menu and set up a template. -->
    <link rel="canonical" href="" />
    <meta property="og:locale" content="en_US" />
    <meta property="og:type" content="article" />
    <meta property="og:title" content="A Course in Miracles – Clarification of Terms – Epilogue | A Course in Miracles Book" />
    <meta property="og:url" content="" />
    <meta property="og:site_name" content="A Course in Miracles Book" />
    <meta property="article:section" content="Uncategorized" />
    <meta property="fb:app_id" content="1657883257762613" />
    <meta property="og:image" content="" />
    <meta property="og:image:secure_url" content="" />
    <meta property="og:image:width" content="769" />
    <meta property="og:image:height" content="419" />
    <!-- / Yoast SEO plugin. -->

    That “Uncategorized” bit is interfering with a search plugin I use called Relevanssi. I don’t know where that code is coming from, how it’s being generated.

    Does anyone know where it’s being generated? It’s nowhere to be found inside the Yoast settings, but it’s within a block of code that definitely looks Yoast-related.

    I’d like to know how I can remove that code—or see where it’s being generated from.

    Thank you!
