unblocking IP’s

Is there a way to unblock a blocked IP? If so, how?

Go to the Lockout tab and click the Remove link in the IP row.
There’s only one lockout at this time… and it’s not the one in question. This block occurred yesterday beyond 24 hours ago.
Activity shows it was Locked out … but that lockout expired I guess.I am assuming these IP Blocked references (almost 1000 now) are permanent.. and don’t expire.. right?
No, not right.
The Lockouts tab shows currently locked out IPs.
The Activity log tab shows historical data only. But if an IP is locked out when you are viewing the log, that IP is marked with a red square sign in the leftmost column.
So, when I filter activity for IP Blocked, I see almost 1000 IP’s… when I look at the dashboard, I see the red squares you’re referring to but I also see a typical IP tries multiple times to log in to wp-admin, which is cause for an instand IP Block. so I see the locked out icon and I also see each one with the red IP Blocked rectangle….
So.. what does the IP Blocked mean if not that these IP #s are permanently blocked? How is blocked different from locked out and is this client of mine still blocked or not? Cause when I look at all the IP Blocked activity, I see only one IP with the red square to the left of the row.. all the rest no longer have red squares. So are all the rest of the 1000 free to try again?

Like a said on the Activity tab you see events that occurred in the past. The IP Blocked activity means an IP was locked out at that time (see column Date) by the plugin engine. The plugin decided to lock out the IP.
So, to confirm my new understanding.. there is no difference whatsoever between “Locked Out” and “Blocked IP”. And that IP #s that are “Blocked” by Cerber Security are actually locked out for a time based upon the criteria set down by the user in the Main Settings etc?
Is there a way to permanently block IP#s with this plugin ?1. Your understanding is absolutely correct.
2. To block an IP permanently just add it to the Black IP Access List on the Access Lists tab. Here is an explanation how to use IP access lists to protect WordPress: http://wpcerber.com/using-ip-access-lists-to-protect-wordpress/
