Support » Fixing WordPress » Unauthorized. Remove the customize_messenger_channel param

  • Hello. I am fairly new to this so apologies if it’s an obvious solution.
When logged out of WP and I click on any of the buttons/links on my homepage I get the following message:
    Unauthorized. Remove the customize_messenger_channel param

I understand this may be something to do with adding links when in customise mode, however I cannot see extra characters in the links or an options as to how else to add a link.
It’s shared hosting, if that would affect it?

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thank you

It seems like you’ve linked those to previews of the pages, not the actual pages themselves.

    Hi James,

Thank you. I copied and pasted the permalink from the page within the dashboard. Would that still seem to be the issue?

Make sure it’s the actual permalink, not the preview link. Also, make sure the page is published and not still a draft (drafts don’t get real permalinks).

So far, your “Why Us” link is correct now, but the “Who We Are” link still has the problem.
