Using All In One Event Calendar v2.3.3
There is an update available. I like to check the changelog before updating. On following the ‘View Version 2.3.4 Details’ link in the WP dashboard, the usual modal box appears but is devoid of content. On inspecting source the HTML content is not getting through. The same bug occurs when following the View Details link. The modal pops up but there’s no content, not even the Plugin title or image.

This seems to be occurring with multiple installations of the plugin on different installations of WordPress on different servers.

I have checked the changelog on https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/changelog/ but there’s no mention of it being fixed for the latest update.

Anyone else know about or experiencing this bug?

  • Hi,

I’m not sure what’s going on with the ‘View Version 2.3.4 Details’ link in the WP dashboard, but the changelog is available and any changes can be seen on https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/changelog/

    Hi Benjamin
    thanks for the reply.

I apologise if my post lacked clarity. It’s not really about the changelog directly, I muddied the water a bit.

The link I refer to appears in the WordPress back-end, on both the Plugins and Updates screen, when an update is available for the plugin in question. It opens the standard Plugin Details modal within WordPress.

The bug I’m experiencing is that although the modal box appears, for All In One Event Calendar 2.3.3, the modal has no actual content. It’s not just the changelog which is absent from the box, it’s all the data and content that would usually show up contained in this Plugin Details WordPress modal box. IE: Plugin Name, Description, header image, and all the links and so on. It just doesn’t seem to be making it through to be rendered as html.

Maybe it’s a problem with these sites communicating with the plugin repo, but for me I’m only seeing the bug with AI1EC only, on two different sites I’m running it on. The modal works fine for other installed plugins on those sites.

Just thought I’d let you know. I thought it was odd 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Timely better. I’ll forward this to the development team for investigation.

    Take care,
    Ben

Please upgrade to version 2.3.4, it will fix “no content in the modal box” issue.
