When I drag an image over using the html5 upload functionality, the upload progress bar starts to engage, and then I just see the image on the screen (like if you dragged an image to the browser when an html5 upload box was not present)

when I click the “select files” button and try to upload that way, I just see this indefinitely:
    http://i.imgur.com/veFiV.png
when I check the console, I see this error:

Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded jquery.js:2
    (displayed after attempting upload)

The worst part about this is I have two dev environments with the same config – one on the same server and one on my local machine – and I can’t reproduce this at all. Another interesting thing is if I click the x on the overlay, it doesn’t go away, but it does when I hit the ESC key.

  • as it turns out, this was caused by an issue with a plugin with sloppy code. fixed it, and all is well!
