    Hi there,
I have multiple sites I would like to backup to my Dropbox account, but it turns out I can only use the Authenitcation Key/process on one site.

If I try to authenticate another site using the same key I get the following:

    DROPBOX: (400) invalid_grant

I can have one site using full access and one using restricted (app) access, and that’s it.

Only one authetication key can be generated for a given app for a given Dropbox account – so I can’t create separate keys for each website.

Any idea how I can back all my sites up to the one Dropbox account? It’s just not feasible or manageable for me to create a separate DB account for each site!

Thanks in advance for your help, and if you need additional information, please let me know.
    Chris

You must request a new key for every site. The Key you must copy and paste is only for one time.

On every site do the compleat autorisation with clicking the button. Than ist must work.

Hi Daniel – thanks for getting back to me.

In Dropbox it only creates once instance of BackWPup as an app no matter how many sites I try and authorise.

If I authorise one site then authorise a second site, I am actually just resetting the key rather than generating a new key for the second site.

So the second site is authorised, but the first one is no longer authorised.

Is there the possibility of having separate keys for separate sites? Is this functionality available in the PRO version of BackWPup?

    Thanks for your help.

Close the tab with the key and from the other thide hit in BackWPup the Get Authcode button again.

Hi Daniel – that doesn’t work I’m afraid.

It appears that BackWPup can only have one Authcode – it is not possible to use the same code for multiple sites, and it’s not possible to generate a new one for each site.

If I try and generate a new Authcode for a second site (in a different browser to the first site, and with all tabs with the first site closed), then the code used for the first site becomes invalid, and the following error appears in the log for the first site:

[03-Aug-2015 18:27:23] ERROR: Dropbox API: (401) The given OAuth 2 access token doesn’t exist or has expired.

I have tried with both partial access and full access to Dropbox, and get the same results.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Hi Daniel – so it’s now working. Not sure why it didn’t work before when closing the tabs, but it is now.

    Thanks for all your help.
