When I attempt to upload images, the counter goes to 100%, but then a yellow caution symbol appears and nothing uploads. I have tried many times and have inactivated plugins to no avail. I also see places where the drop-down boxes have one of the drop-downs appearing outside the box and that function is inoperable.

The program worked GREAT before 4.2.4

I LOVE NextGEN Gallery, so I pray this can be fixed.

    Thank you.

@roundamerica – What else has changed on your site since you last recall the upload process working as expected?

    Same problem here!!!
Tried to deactivate all my other plugins but no improvement.

Don´t know what to do ?!

Photocrati: Since I deactivated various plugins, there is nothing changed on the site. I imported a few listings to test that process. I had added some new plugins, but I deactivated all of them. The theme is Templatic Directory2. It was installed before NextGEN, and it worked in the beginning. Can I go back to a prior NextGEN release? Would you like to login and look? Thanks so much. I am so happy with NextGEN that I’d hate to lose it!!!

Let me add to this. I have another WordPress 4.2.4 site (worldslargest.us). With NextGEN Gallery 2.1.2 activated, I was unable to activate any of the plugins I attempted to activate. Once I deactivated NextGEN, the others activated just fine. I activated NextGEN last. I was able to add images without problem.

I then tried the same thing with roundamerica.com. I deactivated every plugin. I then activated NextGEN Gallery only, and I was able to upload a photo. Then I activated NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon, and I was able to add a photo.

I then tried to activate NextGEN Gallery Search, and I got a white screen.

I then tried to activate WP NextGen Gallery Search, and I got a white screen.

I then tried to activate Yoast SEO, and I got a white screen.

I then tried to activate WP Sitemap Page, and I got a white screen.

I then quit trying and deactivated NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon. I then tried to activate WP Sitemap Page, and it activated.

I then tried to activate the Templatic Directory2 template (where i was unable to upload photos before), and it activated. I then tried uploading a photo, and I was successful.

Looks like the problem could be the NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon by Jagged Edge Media.

So, it looks like I have solved my problem. I will now test adding a photo after I activate each plugin to see if I find other problems.

    Thank you.

One final note. I was successful in activating all of the rest of my plugins except Templatic’s “Tevolution LocationManager.” So, I’ve identified two plugins that conflict with NextGEN.

@roundamerica – That’s a lot of troubleshooting and great investigative work on your part.

Have you advised the other authors of the issues you are having? We are open to helping them make their plugins compatible with NextGEN Gallery if they need additional assistance … just have them contact us as needed.

    Thanks!!

Bad news. I went to add an image this morning, and it failed. I tried deactivating some plugins, and five tries and five fails to upload.

I did not change anything on the site from when it was working.

    Any ideas?

@roundamerica – Are you using any caching on your site? For everything to work as expected then to stop (without anything changing prior) generally points to a cache issue.
