Hello!
Could this be a problem with version 3.5.0?
It is no problem I believe. However, did you check your PHP error logs? When you upload a file, what is happening? Can you open Chrome Developer Tools and check the AJAX request and see what appears? The error should actually be extremely easy to check.

Hello!
Full size retina upload had worked for me in the past. Suddenly, it doesn’t.
Honestly, I am not sure what to look for regarding AJAX. Is it possible to be more specific as to what section/tab I should look at? I tried uploading the image to the square area and keeping an eye to the Dev. Tools.
As far as I can gather:

Refreshing the Retina plugin page (under Media), I got this:
(This seems to refer to an error on wp-admin upload.php?)
“GET http://static.shareasale.com/image/41388/Feature-Fast-468×60.jpeg net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT”
“content.js:4 Iframe attached successfully”
Hello!
This &has_focus=false is not from the plugin. I have no idea where it is coming from? Another plugin maybe?
This:
{“wp-auth-check”:true,”server_time”:1442856601}
is not related, it’s the normal WP “ping” process, it does this all the time.
Can you check your PHP error logs instead? That might be more helpful π

Hello!
I just did a clean re-install of the theme. The only plugins that are activated now are from the themes (Brand Exponent’s plugins) and Woo Commerce plugins.
This is the error log from the server: (I dotted some of the information for privacy)

The error log happened about when I tried to upload a full-size retina image and it kept loading from about 20 minutes and then I killed it.
Can you have a look at your PHP error logs? This looks like access logs π
Your PHP might be breaking because of the memory usage or the size of the file.

I had already increased my php.ini to 256MB.
I tested it using WordPress image uploader and I was able to upload an image of at least 7MB in size.
Using the full-size retina image uploader, I wasn’t even able to upload a 3MB file.
The loader kept spinning for 15-20 minutes then I stopped it.
However, I did successfully upload a full-size retina for the logo at only 7KB in size.
That’s what confusing about it. The file size of the image I was trying to upload through the full-size retina is not big.
Does this error log when attempting to upload seem to refer to retina? ( … page=wp-retina-2x … )

What else should I try? Should I ask my hosting? What should I ask them?
Incompatibility with the WordPress theme? Any other idea?
Thanks!
Hello There β I am having the same issue, probably related to the theme ( Oshine 3.01 from brand exponents). I am unable to upload the retina or full Size images, using the “pro” version of the plugin. any help will be very much appreciated
Merci!
J819, this…
[Wed Sep 30 23:37:09 2015] [error] [client 99.153.245.200] File does not exist: /home/…./public_html/…. .com/501.shtml, referer: http://… .com/… /wp-admin/upload.php?page=wp-retina-2x&s&view=all
… is an access log. It’s not the PHP error log. Can you check the PHP error log so that we know what is happening?
LDB, same for you, I need to see the PHP error logs. A lot can happen during the upload, it’s not only an upload, it goes through all the WP processes (so themes, plugins and all the PHP have an influence here). Also, a simple test would also to make sure that it works using the Media Library upload too. Just to make sure π

Hi Jordy,
Let me check the PHP error logs.
Regarding upload through Media Library, I had already tested it and it worked. I was able to upload an image as big as 7 MB.
FROM PRO version: re: Full-size replace and full size upload
I am trying to get rid of the red boxes and have recently updated to “pro” version. I am using Chrome on a MAC, OS 10.10.5. I do not see the “drag and drop” feature you are referring to to place the full size image into the “full size” retina. thanks for any/all help.

Hello gloriag,
I cannot see your link, that’s a link to your admin π Need access for that.
Did you check the tutorial? Everything is explained here with images: http://apps.meow.fr/wp-retina-2x/tutorial/. The square on the right end of the retina dashboard is where you want to drop your files (your retina for full-size).
Jordy
Thanks for the quick reply. I realized that you would not be able to get into my admin after I sent that message. I will have a look at the tutorial.
