    Hi

I have a number of plugins to update and when trying to do so either individually or in bulk I get the error:-

Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)

This also happens when I try to update my Widows I get the same error message. This only happens on one of my sites, I currently have 5 all with the same hosting company.

Can anyone suggest a solution I should say that at 74 I am not the most technical operator so please if possible keep it simple for an old guy 🙂

    Many thanks

  • If you are using SSL on your site, the SSL certificate may be out of date. You host or wherever you purchased the SSL certifcate can assist you in getting it renewed.

If you don’t use SSL, it could be a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all of the plugins, activate one that has an update, and see if the update works. You can do this with each plugin until you locate the one that may be causing the error message.

    Hi kwbridge

Many thanks worked a treat. In future disable plugins find out if one is conflicting and work from there. Even an old guy of 74 understood you and was able to carry out your instruction. Does that make me a GEEK!!!

Kind regards your help was really appreciated.

I’m so glad it helped 🙂 Deactivating and testing plugins is always a good first step with many error messages.
