I have added custom fields to profile. I have tried to update them as the administrator and as the logged in user but these fields do not display in the profile as they don’t have any data store. The display option is saved as visible to everyone. They accept the data when editing but they seem to not store the information.

I have tried the conflict test and disabled all plugins except ultimate with the theme being twenty twenty but the problem still occurs.

Please can you assist in resolving this issue.

    Hi @roscoestephen,

Please clarify what field type do you use?
Can you please attach the screenshot of your profile form with these fields and the screenshot of your User page.

    Regards.

I use the text box field.

In the one of the screenshot the Leadership ability does not want to update.

    Below is the screenshots requested.

Do you have a solution for the problem with your plugin?

    Hi @roscoestephen,

It looks like only administrators are allowed to update the “Leadership ability”.
Are you updating this field with the administrator user role?
Please try to set privacy to “everyone” and see if it helps.

    Let me know.
    Regards.

Changing the privacy setting for the field does not help at all. I am updating this field as an Administrator.

Contrary to other users experience of the plugin, It is extremely unstable. I spent so much time trying to solve issues that should not be present. Even deleting and creating the same field with different meta keys does not solve the problem.

Please tell me HOW you are able to tell “only administrators are allowed to update the “Leadership ability”.

Please advise on update. Not responding to valid support questions does not help resolve the issues the we are having with your plugin.

I find it hard to understand, where must the users for your plugin turn to if they can not get any feedback from the creators of the plugin.

    Hi @roscoestephen

Sorry for the late response. We have been busy fixing UM bugs and trying to get through all support tickets out from the backlog so it took us a couple of days to respond.

Could you please tell us if you’re still having issues with the latest version 2.1.11? It sounds like you have a cache issue in your profile form. Do you have a caching plugin? If so, please try excluding the Profile page from the cache and see if the issue goes away.

Please feel free to re-open this thread by changing the topic status to “Not Resolved” so we can get back to you.

I have updated to the latest version. There has been some improvements. I am still experiencing the same issues.

I am currently not using any caching plugins.
