Hi, since the WP update last week I am unable to edit any of my tables and I need to make some changes by adding/inserting columns and rows with new information asap.

I still appear to be able to create a new table but once created can’t make any changes to it. Tried re-installing the by uploading the .zip file but no different.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Most likely, you are affected by the “jQuery Migrate is disabled by default” change in WP 5.5 that is explained at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-5-master-list/#post-13238244
A short-term fix might be to install the mentioned plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ on your site.
However, this is not a real fix to the error, which is most likely raised in your theme. In more detail, some theme JavaScript file should not be using the outdated jQuery “live()” function anymore, but its replacement “on()”. You could maybe try to contact the theme support team and ask them to
    fix the theme.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thanks very much Tobias, I had installed the tempoary plug in fix but that hasn’t cured the problem. Looks like I will have try the theme designers next. The theme is Catch Everest Pro from Catch Themes. Peter

    Hi,

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch by email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Peter,

thanks! Yes, it’s likely that that PDF plugin then introduced a JavaScript error, if everything works again after deactivating that again.

    Regards,
    Tobias
