Unable to sync with a password protected site

    I’m working on localhost. The remote site to which I want to push/pull changes is password protected via .htaccess method. I get the following error when I try to push/pull database.

    Failed initializing – Could not get a valid token from remote server

    Everything works fine if the password protection on the site turned off.

    It would be great if I could add username and password in my sync settings and push/pull database without turning of password protection.

    Hi Rahul,

    Yes, you would get that error when the site is blocked by basic authentication from .htaccess.

    I will add your idea to our backlog as a suggestion and we will consider adding it in a future release. Currently you are the first to express this need, so dont expect it to be in the next releases as these are already planned.

    But thanks for taking the time to suggest this improvement.
    We always appreciate ideas to improve the plugin.
