Ok, I found that some templates work, some don’t. So I have shortlisted “image slider”. But I am unable to position the text as on the sample images.

Hi @herbyone!
The height of the slider is affected by many settings, which you can see here:
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/2033-what-affects-slider-size
Such as that our slider has a rule, that a slide’s height is at least as big as the height of your layers, margins and paddings are and your entire slider is as big as the highest slide is:

About positioning:
With default positioned layers, the positioning rather happens from the parent element:

and by using rows and columns:

To understand alignment better, you could check out this video too:

thank you for the detailed explanation. But I am sorry this is just too much for me. I have chosen the “image slider” template which suits my requirement. All I need is to understand how to position the text (exactly as in the template slides). I have replicated all the details on my slide but the text still shows at the centre of the slide. Please visit the URL and see & guide suitably.
Best regards.

Hi @herbyone!
At the Content layer:
https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1810-content-layer
you can use the Inner align and Vertical align options to move your content to the bottom left.
Many thanks for the guidance. this did the job.
