Support » Plugin: Social Slider Widget » Unable to select account

  • Hi !
It seems the plugin doesn’t work anymore on lululalucette.com. The symptom is : unable to select account in widget settings.

I clicked on “add account “, I’m redirected to the Instagram website, to authorize “Creative Motion” on my account. I’m redirected to my WordPress website administration (on the plugin settings page) and the button “add account” is still displayed.

If I click on “add account” a second time, I’m redirected to instagram.cm-wp.com, which redirects me to my WordPress admin.

    WordPress version : 5.3
    Plugin version : 1.6.3

    Hello.

Do you use an instagram business account?

The instagram account is a “Creator account” (was a personal account, migrated to a “pro account”, and finally a “creator account”)

Hello, so, there is a problem if it is a business account?

    Thank you!

No, it’s not because of the business account.

the same trouble here… impossible to add my instagram

Et la seule chose que me répond le développeur c’est d’avoir accès à mon compte instagram pour voir… franchement nul et hyper déçue !

I am having the same issue. WordPress 5.3, Plugin version 1.6.3. No matter what I do, my client can’t connect. She said she did connect, she thought, and then it redirected back. So I tried it and got the same result from a totally different computer in a different country, so i know it’s not a caching thing (and I cleared the server cache first).

Should we roll back to a previous version?

You can try our test version, in which we tried to solve the problem with connecting accounts.

I tried this test version, it sends me to http://instagram.cm-wp.com/#access_token=SECRET_TOKEN (i do not reproduce publicly this token 😉

This page only contains a <script> tag for jQuery script, and nothing else

And the console displays an error about https://cm-wp-storage.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/images/ssw_vertical.jpg which returns a 403

After that you should be redirected back to the admin panel and add an account.

Have you tried manually adding an account? Link “Button Not working?”

This still isn’t working @webtemyk. Now it’s happening across multiple people’s accounts. Not only are the images not square, as in my other thread, but no one can connect. You click the blue button, it takes you to login, then it redirects to a blank white page and nothing happens. You go back to wp-admin and you get the blue button again. You click it, it redirects you right back to wp-admin again.

This is an issue. You have a Pro version — and I’d love to recommend my clients start paying for this plugin, but it’s hard to convince them to do so when this free one isn’t even working. Can we fix this? It’s clearly not operator error with this many people having the problem.

Can you help with this any time soon or should we start looking for an alternate plugin?

    Thank you!

    Hello, @joelle.
Today will be an update that will return square images and try to solve the problem with connecting accounts. In your case, you need to first log in to instagram in the browser, and then click the Add Account button.
