Support » Everything else WordPress » Unable to search for topics in a specific forum

  • When I attempt to search for existing topics/post in a specific support forum, I get nothing back.

    For example:

    https://wordpress.org/search/proxy+intext%3A%22Plugin%3A+Limit+Login+Attempts+Reloaded%22/?in=support_forums

Returns no hits. Just a boilerplate page with the words:

    Search

Search the WordPress.org website for plugins, themes, and support.

..in a blue banner area near the top of the page.

Ahh… I think I just discovered it may be a browser problem. I’m using the ‘Brave’ browser (it supposedly uses the Chrome engine). However if I try the same search in actual Chrome, it appears to work correctly. I wonder why?

… and blocks a lot of things by default.

Brave is noted for higher privacy, security and speed. But for these to happen, Brave blocks a lot of sites and scripts… and, sometimes, those are things the site you’re using may depend on to function.
