Hi. I am trying to search for a plugin in the “Add plugins” page, but the error:

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

appears. How may I address this issue?
    Thanks/

  • Having the same issue here, also suddenly getting Critical Errors, very strange.

Having the same issue here, Hope can fix it asap

I am experiencing the exact same thing and is quite frustrating. Could it be the latest update maybe?

I’m also getting the same error.

However, I’ve noticed this quirk. Mine seems to work for some search queries, but not others… For example:

“woo” returns a result, but “woocommerce” throws the error
“cart” returns a result, but “carflows” throws the error

    Very strange indeed.

…Wait scratch that, after checking again, now nothing is returning a result. Hmmm.

Same issue here as well, 5.8.2 seems to be affecting functionality of some installed plugins as well.

Same issue facing here. After using version 5.8.2, facing lots of issue.

Same issue and I haven’t done any recent updates. It must be their servers.

    same here as well

Every site I operate is showing this error on the Add New Plugin screen. Started after all the updates to 5.8.2.

    Same problem here

Same issue and have not updated to 5.8.2 yet so ya its their servers 🙁

It may not be the update to 5.8.2, it may be something at the server where the plugin directory is hosted. I checked a site I still have on version 5.8.1 and it also has the problem. The issue may not be related to our sites at all.

Note, you can still download plugins from the plugin directory, and then upload them manually to the site. Plugin updates also seem to be working, it is only adding new plugins from the directory that I’m seeing the problem.
