    Hi,

Im not sure why but since running the last update im unable to search for fonts, the Search button doesn’t appear to react at all.

All other buttons seem to work fine and do what they are supposed to

    Thanks
    Jon

    Hi @jonnorman43,

It’s probably cause your browser cached the old JS-files of the plugin. (I forgot to up the version of the loaded static files which would force your browser to refresh the files. Sorry!)

Update to 1.7.4 you should be fine!

    Thats great thanks,

Though this didn’t fix on my wamp installation, any ideas as to why?

Thanks again for the quick support!

I have no idea. Just try to force refresh the page, on MacOS CMD + Shift + R and on Windows/Linux CTRL + SHIFT + R.

This should fix it. It’s about caching. Can’t be anything else.

okay thank, I did try that but will have another go,

the live site is working fine so no major issue 🙂

If that doesn’t work, try opening it in a private session to see if the issue persists. If that’s the case, open your console and see if any errors are thrown and paste them here. Then I’ll look into it.

    Hi

Still having the issue on my wamp setup.

All caches cleared and refreshed, also tried through a private browser session.

The only errors I can find are in the console like…

    Hello,

I am also experiencing this issue, the search button does not seem to work unless I hit “enter” on keyboard – from there it simply refreshes the page without displaying any search results, nor indicating any search was performed.

I have made sure this is not a cache conflict, I am also seeing the following error in-console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘length’ of null
    at hwlRenderAvailableSubsets (hwl-admin.js?ver=1.7.6:61)
    at Object.complete (hwl-admin.js?ver=1.7.6:42)

Okay, to correct myself – if I hit enter, the page just refreshes in the manner indicated above. However, if I click the search button repeatedly, eventually the layout changes quickly, then restores to normal and shows me the result for the font of interest. I’m okay with this as long as the end result is successful.

do you have a live working copy of your site, if so I have a workaround?

You can restore a backup and update the database and cache manually…

Since you guys are having the same issue, I’ll look into it ASAP and get back to you.

I’ve found that WP Cerber plugin is blocking font requests (latest versions of both). In Hardening you can unlock Protect admin scripts and release locks. It helped me after several tries.
Need to find how to whitelist it in Cerber…

    Wow, thanks for this @webprom!

I had no idea there were plugins providing this type of functionality.

@blackhill24 and @hardonhorsepoweradmin did this help you along? Are you using any plugins which might block your external font requests?

Whitelisted /wp-content/cache/caos-webfonts/fonts.css on Cerber, in traffic inspector / settings but can’t check yet if it helps with Protect admin scripts ON…

    Thanks for the great plugin!

@webprom thanks for the info, that looks like a plugin worth a look.

@daanvandenbergh unfortunately not, we have nothing which could block this
