Unable to save Static Front Page

    I’ve just did a fresh installation of WordPress 3.9.1 and I’m using the TwentyTwelve theme.

    I’m trying to set a Static Front Page (under the Appearance… Customize… Static Front page section). I’ve selected a page for Static Front Page and Posts Page and then clicked Save & Publish. The wheel just spins and spins and after that it times out. I checked and found out that nothing is saved.

    I also tried to set the entire wordpress as writable with the command “chmod -R 777 wordpress”, but it didn’t help either.

    Please help!

    Solved.

    I managed to save it under Settings… Reading section.

    (I wonder why trying to save it under Appearance… Customize… Static Front page section does not work. Bug?)
