Unable to save php changes in editor, quick access to site and widgets gone

    Good evening,

    Today I noticed that I’d lost the quick dashboard access feature across the top of a website I was logged into, also some of the widgets have gone missing, images aren’t showing and I can’t edit any of the twentysixteen theme php files.

    Installing the Health-check plugin gave me the following failure information (everything else passed ok)

    Scheduled event – A scheduled event (wptouch_cron_backup_settings) has failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended. (The WPCron plugins are not activated)

    Loopback request

    The loopback request to your site took too long to complete, this may prevent WP_Cron from working, along with theme and plugin editors.

    Are these recent known issues as 4.9 has been working ok? Can I provide additional information to resolve the problems?

    There may be an incompatible plugin. Try disabling plugins and see if the problem persists.

    I enabled the WP_DEBUG option and looked at the home page at http://www.photosbykev.co.uk again.

    This plugin was generating the following errors for some reason, as it’s been working fine for a number of years.

    Notice: Use of undefined constant PB_SETTINGS_BG_OPACITY – assumed ‘PB_SETTINGS_BG_OPACITY’ in /home/cluster-sites/4/p/photosbykev.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/panopress/panopress.php on line 137

    Notice: Undefined index: css in /home/cluster-sites/4/p/photosbykev.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/panopress/panopress.php on line 232

    I deleted the plugin and reloaded it and everything seems to be close to working again, one display issue with the errant plugin but I’ll work on that
