Hi,

I’ve raised this question before:

I need visitors to be sent to a page of my choosing, and be able to access a few more, until they’re logged-in (Buddypress site). I have my page exclusions entered, including the page I want to act as home to visitors, but when I enter that URL as the custom landing page the following error is returned:

Error in Custom Login URL. It must point to someplace on this WordPress web site

The URL is correct. I also need to do something more to make sure if a logged-in user tries to access the same URL, he is redirected to site home.

WordPress likes to make membership sites hard!

You need to make sure the URL itself matches, so you can’t have http://www.foo.bar and www1.foo.bar.

In the previous thread, you said you got it working. What’s changed since then?

P.S. And yeah, membership sites are difficult. This plugin isn’t really meant as a membership site plugin (there are some excellent plugins that do that). It’s just meant to keep people out. You might be pushing it beyond its design. That said, let’s see how far we can take it, shall we?
